The paintings below are just some of the paintings I was working on in the studio during 2019/20. Some have been around for a while, often because I'm just not sure where they are going next. Others just need a push in the right direction. Occasionally they really are stuck and then they need something much more drastic, but that's the fun part! Watch this space for an update on their progress.
This is my studio wall downstairs in the gallery where I paint, I move the paintings around continuously as I work on them.
This group of four below are at the finishing off stage and are part of a new series I've been developing, based loosely on the flower borders and wild flower meadows I saw during my dog walks whilst in lockdown early in the year. They will either appear in an onlilne exhibition later in the year or may well arrive on my new online shop in time for Christmas. I'm very excited about the way this series is coming together, I've enjoyed putting together vibrant colour combinations and exploring new tools and mark making techniques. These 4 are all unframed 40cm x 40cm canvases. I have several smaller 30cm x 30cm pieces and a couple of large canvases at an early stage that you can see on my studio wall above. I am delighted to report that 3 of the 4 paintings below have now SOLD.
