"Occasionally I’ll apply some left over paint to a piece with no real thought about what it’s going to become and somehow it gives me the answer. An image starts to appear and I can just run with it. That’s what happened here and I’m delighted with the result.
‘Good Drying Day’ stirs up lots of memories from my childhood of my mum hanging out washing in the communal drying green on her appointed day. With a house full of children there was always a full line needing to be dried. You can’t miss a Good Drying Day just incase it’s raining on your next designated slot."
